Discover Program Scuba Diving , offered by the Galapagos diving school Scuba Diving School Galapagosscubadiving SAS gives you the opportunity to experience the sensation of breathing underwater without the need to commit to a full certification course.
This introductory program allows you to try scuba diving in pools, beaches or from dive boats, either close to home or while enjoying a vacation at a diving destination. Although it does not certify you as a diver, Discover Scuba Diving offers you a quick and easy introduction to the underwater world.
To participate in this experience, you must be at least 10 years old and no previous diving experience is required, just reasonable physical health.
During the experience, you will receive basic safety instruction and learn fundamental diving skills under the supervision of a PADI professional. You will also have the opportunity to practice some skills in shallow water to prepare for an open water dive.
All basic diving equipment needed will be provided, including mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, diving instruments, wetsuit and a tank.
For training, in addition to the diving instructor, a specialized diving instruction boat will be used.
Training will be conducted at designated marine sites on Santa Cruz Island such as Caamaño, Punta Estrada, El Bajo and El Barranco, Seymour, Mosquera, Daphne, Floreana and Bartolomé. Depending on sea conditions and the instructor’s decision.
