To enroll in a PADI Skin Diver course , you must be at least 8 years old. You need adequate swimming skills and comfort in the water. No previous experience is required.
Throughout the course, you will learn how to properly select and use diving equipment, basic safety measures and essential snorkeling and skin diving techniques .
Basic equipment required includes mask, snorkel, fins and snorkel vest, with the option of wetsuit and weights as needed.
Training will be conducted at designated marine sites on Santa Cruz Island such as Caamaño, Punta Estrada, El Bajo and El Barranco, Seymour, Mosquera, Daphne, Floreana and Bartolomé. Depending on sea conditions and the instructor’s decision.
