PADI RESCUE DIVER
Rescue Program Diver , offered by GALAPAGOS SCUBA DIVING SCHOOL GALAPAGOSSCUBADIVING SAS, promises to transform your diving experience in an exceptional way. This course trains you to identify and solve minor problems before they become more serious situations, giving you greater confidence and fun during your dives.
Participants in this course will learn to be better diving buddies, hone their navigation skills, use an emergency oxygen kit, and have the opportunity to prepare for future courses such as the Divemaster course .
Phase 1. PADI eLearning® (online classes)
This stage, available on PADI’s online platform, allows students to study at their own pace and on their own schedule. Topics such as assisting other divers, troubleshooting minor equipment problems and using an emergency oxygen kit are covered. Additionally, you’ll study deep diving and navigation plus three specialties of your choice.
To begin this phase, the student must purchase the online theoretical course through the PADI website: https://www.padi.com/es/cursos/rescue-diver . The eLearning time commitment: 8-12 hours
Phase 2. With your Instructor (training) in open water
This phase involves practice at sea with real diving equipment. Participants perform simulated exercises to deal with emergency situations, such as leg cramps or assisting fatigued divers.
- Prerequisites: Adventure Diver /Junior Adventure Diver (or qualifying certification) with completed underwater navigation dive; EFR Primary and Secondary Care Training (or qualifying training) within 24 months.
- Total commitment time: 4-7 days
- Minimum age: 12 years or older
- Depth: 0

For the PADI Divemaster, Rescue Diver, and Emergency First Response (EFR) courses, students must purchase the official PADI materials and eLearning separately.
Some courses require prior certifications and a minimum number of logged dives.
